Tripping In Assam & Meghalaya Jungle & Clouds

Arrive at our office in Ganeshguri (Guwahati) early morning at about 8 am. We will give you a road map of the itinerary and a brief description of does and don’ts. After finishing all the necessary formalities, collect your motorcycles and then throttle down to Kaziranga National Park which is nearly 220 km from Guwahati and it will take approximately 4 to 5 hours. The National Highway 37 is a pure delight to ride. Reach Kaziranga and check into Hotel / Gust House. After refreshment visit the famous Orchid Park, local village and Lush Green Tea Garden. Dinner and overnight at Kaziranga.

Early morning Elephant Safari then return to Hotel for breakfast. Later enjoy a Jeep Safari inside the National Park. After the Jungle activity, check out throttle down to Shillong “The Scotland of the East”. The road is pure fun to ride. Its uncountable twist and turns make the ride more interesting. En route visit the picturesque UMIAM Lake cum Botanical Garden.

More popularly known as Barapani, this is the biggest artificial lake in the State. Surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies is the majestic Umiam lake. The lake situated just 15 km from Shillong on the Guwahati-Shillong National Highway.

Reach Shillong and Check into Hotel/Guest House. Evening you can simply roam the famous Police Bazar on foot or go for clubbing or enjoy delicious food at different ethnic or modern restaurants.

After an early morning breakfast, ride to Cherrapunjee. “The Wettest Place on Planet Earth” This 70 km ride will be the best ride of this trip. Just after crossing the state capital of Meghalaya “Shillong” you will realize the meaning of Meghalaya “ADOBE OF CLOUDS”. Laid out along razor-like ridges of a high mountain wall, Cherrapunjee (known locally as Sohra) sits at the edge of the Himalayas, overlooking the pancake-flat plains of Bangladesh. The village was once feted as the wettest place on Earth because of its prodigious monsoon rainfall. The road from state capital Shillong passes through pretty scenery that becomes dramatic at the Dympep viewpoint, where a photogenic V-shape valley cuts deeply into the plateau. You should not forget to carry your raincoat as the rain in this region is totally unpredictable.

The Mawkdok Dympep Valley View / Duwan Sing Syiem Bridge located at the very start of Sohra point and enjoy hot Maggie & Tea. One can enjoy a thrilling Zip lining over the deep gorge . The next stopover is at Wah Kaba Falls View point. Later reach Cherrapunjee & visit Noh-Kalikai Falls ,Dainthlen Falls ,Kynrem Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls / Seven Sister Falls.Thankharang Park , Mawsmai Caves The Mawsmai cave are part of the longest cave system in India. Later return back to Shillong for overnight stay.

The last day of your journey starts with Laitlum Canyon which is approximately 22 km / nearly 1 hour from the state capital Shillong. It is a must visit place for all nature lovers.

Laitlum Perched in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya. Laitlum translates “End of Hills” and it is exactly appears to be true to its name. You can see breathtaking gorges, clouds and steep winding stairways down to the lush green valley. There is no other better place than the Laithlum canyons to witness the bird’s eye view of Shillong’s breathtaking surroundings.
Later ride to Guwahati (100 km / 3 Hours). Reach our office and hand over the Motorcycles.
