Itinerary

  • Day 01: Guwahati–Cherrapunjee (180 Km 6 / 7 Hours)

    Arrive at our office in Ganeshguri (Guwahati) early morning at about 8 am. We will give you a road map of the itinerary and a brief description of does and don’ts. After finishing all the necessary formalities, collect your motorcycles and then start your motorcycle trip to Cherrapunjee “The Wettest Place on Planet Earth”. The well developed 4 lane highway to Shillong starting from Khanapara is a delight for riders. Shillong is nearly 100 km from Guwahati. En route visit the picturesque UMIAM Lake cum Botanical Garden .

    More popularly known as Barapani, this is the biggest artificial lake in the State. Surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies is the majestic Umiam lake. The lake situated just 15 km from Shillong on the Guwahati-Shillong National Highway.

    Just after crossing the state capital of Meghalaya “Shillong” you will realize the meaning of Meghalaya “ADOBE OF CLOUDS”. Laid out along razor-like ridges of a high mountain wall, Cherrapunjee (known locally as Sohra) sits at the edge of the Himalayas, overlooking the pancake-flat plains of Bangladesh. The village was once feted as the wettest place on Earth because of its prodigious monsoon rainfall. The road from state capital Shillong passes through pretty scenery that becomes dramatic at the Dympep viewpoint, where a photogenic V-shape valley cuts deeply into the plateau. You should not forget to carry your raincoat as the rain in this region is totally unpredictable.

  • Day 02: Cherrapunjee–Mawlynnong–Shnogpdeng (100 Km / 4 Hour)

    Today you will be riding to Shnongpdeng Village. En route visit Asia’s Cleanest village “MAWLYNNONG”.

    This road will take your breath away. You will cross several small villages, happy faces and majestic sceneries.

    First reach Mawlynnong and trek to Amazing Living root bridge.

    To reach the Living Root Bridge one has to get down at Riwai village, few kilometers before Mawlynnong. The bridge is a 15-minute walk from there.

    LIVING ROOT BRIDGE: Living root bridges are a form of tree shaping common in the southern part of the Northeast Indian state of Meghalaya. They are handmade from the aerial roots of Rubber Fig Trees (Ficus elastica) by the Khasi and Jaintia peoples of the mountainous terrain along the southern part of the Shillong Plateau.

    When human works closely with Nature a gem of a nature rises up.
    Later ride to Shnongpdeng Village by passing Dawki.

    Shnongpdeng Village is located in Jaintia Hill district near Dawki in the state of Meghalaya, India. Umgot river is passes by the village which makes it attractive place to visit. The water of the river is absolutely crystal clear & one can easily see the bottom of the river. Boating, Cliff jumping, zip lining, scuba diving are available.

    Night stay at Guest House / Home stay or at Tents.

  • Day 03: Shnogpdeng–Krang Suri–Guwahati (220 Km / 7-8 Hours)

    Early morning check out and ride to Krang Suri Waterfall (32 km) probably the most beautiful falls of Meghalaya. Most interesting part is one can walk through the falls and enjoy the Water falling in front of you. You can enjoy swimming in the crystal clear water with the help of Life Jackets.

    Later ride to Guwahati (190 km ) via Jowai.

    Reach our office and hand over the motorcycles.

Exclusions: Air fare; camera fees; tips; alcoholic beverages; laundry; insurance; expenses of personal nature; anything not mentioned in Inclusions.

  • Sightseeing entry fees, guide charge, any up-gradation charges
  • Cost for Meals
  • Cost for service not mentioned under the “cost includes” heads
  • Cost for airfare, train fare or any other internal fare.
  • Personal expenses such as laundry, soft drinks, mineral water, porter, tip etc.
  • Expenses incurred due to change in oil price, mishaps, landslide, strike, political unrest etc. In such case, extra will be charged as per actual which will be collected directly from the guest.
  • Any other expenses not mention in the cost inclusion head.
